Fantastic, original condition with a mint blade, we have this beautiful example of a Heer (Army) Officer “Lions Head” dress sword. This sword was produced by the famous maker Carl Eikhorn, this is not a standard Army sword, this example is from their Field Marshall Series, these were typically ordered by Senior Officers and Generals in the German Army. There is no dents and only noticeable paint wear to the bottom tip of the scabbard, the blade is uncleaned, never been sharpened and looks mint with a perfect edge! These Lions Head ruby eyed swords are highly sought after by collectors, The Eikhorn made examples are some of the most sought after and well made types! The grip of this sword also has a mint Officer portpee knot comprised of leather and metal wire. Overall a fantastic, textbook example!
