Description

A rarely encountered field cap, as issued to the Czech army in the late 30’s for the army. These caps were afterwards reissued for the German Army once the country was annexed, by reworking them and sewing a T-shape cap eagle on the front. We often see these caps worn by troops in the German army such as eastern volunteer units. The cap has a few nips and a great combat worn look, the T-eagle is still intact and is period sewn. A nice, honest, 100% original WW2 period cap, as worn by the German Wehrmacht during the war. These types of field caps are much, much more uncommon to find in an unaltered estate as their German produced counterparts.

Note – These caps and other Czech uniform items were pressed into service by the Wehrmacht after their occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1938.
