These don’t come around too often, and when they do they don’t last. An Alcoso “high-lift” dagger. The cream-colored grip is free of cracks and chips. The interior of the grip is blaster based, with the celluloid surface formed around the plaster. Very unique to this type of dagger. The grip fittings have beautiful uncleaned patina that matches the scabbard perfectly. The scabbard is nice and clean with over all of the silvering still in tact and no notable dents or dings. The blade is mint with all of the cross grain remaining and very small “scabbard rash.” The horizontal Alcoso makers mark is very proud on the reverse near the guard. The leather buffer has shrunk some over the years leaving the smallest amount of play in the grip, overall still looks wonderful! This dagger has the original portpee knot still attached and wrapped around the handle.
