Description
Wonderful uniform removed insignia set for the “Munich” district Gendarmerie Polizei (Rural Police) insignia set as found together, these items were part of a recent large find of insignia I pulled from the woodwork. Sent consists of orange shoulderboard for an NCO, an orange NCO collar tab, and an orange sleeve eagle with a wonderful embroidered eagle and “München” indicating service in the Munich district. All these were worn and removed from the same uniform, wonderful set of period removed, field worn insignia!
Note – Originally the police sleeve eagles worn by NCO’s included the name of the location where they were stationed but regulations of November 10TH 1941 abolished the name for all but the Freiwillingen Feuerwehren, (Volunteer Fire Brigades), and the Pflichtfeuerwehren, (Compulsory Fire Brigades), personnel.
