Description
Heer (Army) printed on cloth sleeve-shield as intended for a volunteer within the ‘Armenien’ Legion (Ärmelschild für Freiwillige Armenien). In 1942 an identifying sleeve shield for members of the Armenien legion was introduced. The Armenian sleeve shield utilized the colors of the Independent Armenian Republic which was only in existence from 1918 to 1920. The shield is nicely printed on a yellow linen background. The shield is in good mint and unissued condition showing only some minor staining caused by years of storage. Nice original example!
