Incredible and very rare example of an early embroidered vertical collar tab worn by Enlisted Men and NCO’s in the SS-TV “Totenkopf” (SS-Totenkopfverbände) in the regiment. These were the earliest members who administered the concentration camps. Textbook example with flawless embroidery to the front. This tab was recently pulled directly from the family of the U.S. veteran, this was brought back by Captain Paul O. Peterson, 85th Reconnaissance Squadron, 5th Armored Division. I have attached a photo of Captain Peterson standing next to a knocked out German STUG, he’s on the far left. Just an amazing piece of early SS insignia that has never been in a collection until now with rock solid veteran history.
