Stone mint 1930’s United States Air Corps pre-Crusher “Flighter” model, manufactured by Bancroft Uniform Headwear Inc. in Massachusetts. Visor is olive drab in color, constructed of wool fur felt, heavy canvas, leather, and gilt brass. The inside of the hat shows Bancroft maker mark and card naming the visor to the Capt. who wore it. Eagle insignia is large and all of the gilt brass details remain intact. The adjustable, leather chin strap is a dark chocolate brown, remains soft and supple, and is attached to visor with gilt brass buttons. This cap is stone mint and can not be upgraded, when found it had the original rain cap over the top which helped preserve it, FANTASTIC VISOR!
