Fantastic example of an early World War 2 period U.S Army Air Force (USAAF) model A-9 flight helmet by the Bates Shoe Co. with the original box of issue. The helmet is a nice issued example with the U.S.A.A.F large ink stamp on the crown, gosports installed in the ear area. This helmet configuration was often used by air cadets for training purposes early in the war. There is also an amazing and very sought after pair of early Skyway tube vent goggles with robin egg blue lens. Together this is a fantastic display, these types of goggles rarely pop up, especially in such an amazing condition!
Note – This set is one of many items becoming available from a large World War 2 era USAAF collection I recently purchased.
