Description

This fantastic lightweight flight suit is made from a light tan colored material, and features a two way brass ‘Conmar’ branded zipper which closes the front of the suit. The chest bares buttoning patch pockets with two more similar pockets to the bottom of each leg. Ankle tabs can be found below these whilst belt loops are present at the waist. The original belt is still attached to the suit.

The suit is in worn/issued state and has the original soldiers name/serial number. The zip functions as it should and it is still perfectly wearable. This pattern of flight suit was standardized in 1943 and was issued to aviators in both the United States Army Air Force as well as the United States Navy, this example is USAAF issued as it has the insignia on the left sleeve. These suits saw widespread issue throughout the Second World War in many theatres and was replaced at the very end of the war with the L-1, making this a genuine wartime worn item.
