Description

One of my favorite designed pins from the Third Reich era. This multi-piece swastika shaped badge for the March 1st, 1935 (Saarland Plebiscite) was to commemorate the legal reunification of the Saarland with Germany, this historic event took effect on March 1st,1935. The Saar district map is made of white metal on a gilded swastika with the date “1.MARZ 1935” in raised letters. It is maker marked Robinson Oberstein on the reverse, a more uncommon tinnie that have always been popular with collectors.
