Fantastic field worn looking cap here, the inside shows sweat stains, the outside shows fading from being in the elements/sun, overall not used and abused. This cap is produced in doeskin boiled wool, these are seen in visors but M38 caps are seldom seen. The wool material on the exterior has no moth nips and is overall fantastic condition. The font of the cap has the sewn insignia consisting of a bullion cockard, hard to find flatwire cap eagle, and lemon yellow piping indicating service in the Heer (Army) Signals. The eagle has great detail and blends in perfectly with the rest of the caps insignia as it should. This cap truly has the right amount of wear one would like to see on a period worn piece with no major damage or flaws.
