Kyffhäuserbund (WWI Veterans Organization) Visor Cap

Categories: ,

Mint example of a German veteran organization ‘Kyffhäuserbund’ visor cap in unworn condition. Maker marked by Oswald Hempel, Zittau. Complete with celluloid sweat diamond with text and logo underneath ‘Kyffhäuser – Mütze’. The visor is unworn and still has the original paper inside the lining that would’ve been placed inside at the manufacture, great example that can not be upgraded!

Note –

In the name of Gleichschaltung, the Kyffhäuserbund was nazified after the Nazi takeover of power in 1933. Five years later, its name was altered to Nationalsocialist Reich Warriors Association Kyffhäuser (German: NS-Reichskriegerbund Kyffhäuser e.V.), becoming the sole and exclusive organization representing the veterans’ interests in the Third Reich. The Kyffhäuserbund was swiftly and unceremoniously disbanded during World War II in March 1943 by Adolf Hitler himself.
