Stellar example of a model 1933 Hitlerjugend (Hitler Youth) knife by RZM M7/118 – (Jacobs & Co., Solingen-Grafrath). The ricassoed blade on this one looks great. The stamped “RZM M7/118” maker mark is nicely executed. The crossgrain looks great as you shine it in the light. The tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates overall excellent in the world of HJ knifes. It shows age grey along with surface scratches throughout, but still great overall condition. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard is in excellent condition. The very base looks as though someone dropped it. It retains 97%+ paint coverage and remains completely dent free. The scabbard leather is in excellent condition. It has all of its rivets intact and the snap continues to work well. The zinc based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 95% of its plating. Typical wear to the pommel top. The back checkered grip plates are in perfect condition being tightly secured with two steel grip rivets. The HJ diamond has 99%+ of its enamel. A great late war Hitler Youth knife.
