Description

Great example of an early SA dagger produced by August Merten; Solingen. Correctly district stamped on cross guard with a letter ”S” for Saxony. The dagger has the brown wood handle with inset nickel eagle and swastika motif, and enamel SA emblem, the fittings are all nickel plate and the dagger blade bearing the manufacturers mark (Aug.Merten Ww. of Solingen) and the standard “Alles Fur Deutschland” with their light shaded motto upon it. The scabbard is the correct early anodized type with nickel fittings. A great example of what is now hard to find, that being an untouched early SA dagger!
